  • In our program, we believe in not only the whole child in nature framework, but also the whole teacher approach. Our robust team of DS teachers stay on for the summer as well and hail from various backgrounds: early childhood, counseling, environmental science, and therapeutic riding.

  • We will be using the Brightwheel app for all our students. Each day, you will receive intentional and multiple updates as to how your child is thriving in our summer program, which will be excellent conversation starters for the dinner table and ensure that you, as the parent, is part of your child’s journey!

  • Summer learning loss is indeed a phenomena that affects many students, to the point that it is referred to as the “summer setback” or “summer slide” or even “brain drain.” But learning shouldn’t stop in the summer; the real question is how do we make learning joyful and engaging while encouraging confidence and positive self-worth?

Enter in: Genius Squad. Every day of camp, your child will engage in small group academic enrichment with one on one support to reclaim the joy of summer learning, curated by Ms. Maggie herself who holds a Masters in Early Childhood education with a specialty in language and cognition. This enrichment will not take away from the magic of our SEL camp as it will happen during the RESET portion of the camp day for about 45-60 minutes.

‍Imagine this: Children take out their white boards and solve a mathematical story or engage in a math game, connecting mathematical concepts to real world applications. Children journal about their passions or dreams and experience the craft of writing as an organic, powerful means of self-expression and agency. Children ground themselves and enrich their literary souls with teacher-led read alouds or peer-to-peer book readings on the hill, by the goats, or the horses as their captive audience. No day will look the same, but the outcome will always be joy and igniting that spark of learning.

    Cost:
